Our Hay Nibbles with Dandelion & Rosehip contain only three simple ingredients: hay, dandelion and rosehip. We developed this original recipe and make every batch ourselves at The Hay Hutch. Therefore, we know exactly what goes into every bag.
These natural rabbit and guinea pig treats contain no fillers, binders or added sweeteners. In addition, we use no grain, artificial colours or artificial flavours.
Leafy Dandelion with Fruity Rosehip
Dandelion brings a familiar leafy taste to the recipe. Meanwhile, rosehip adds its own naturally fruity flavour and aroma. Together, they create a simple but tempting addition to the milled hay base.
Because we use real dried ingredients, we do not need artificial flavouring. As a result, each nibble gets its taste directly from the dandelion and rosehip.
The simple three-ingredient recipe also makes it easy to see exactly what you are giving your pets.
Our Original Small-Batch Recipe
First, we mill the hay into smaller fibres. Next, we combine it with the dandelion and rosehip. We then use our pellet mill to compress the mixture into firm, easy-to-handle nibbles.
The ingredients naturally hold together during this process. Therefore, we do not add starch, molasses or another binding ingredient.

Tasty Treats for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs
You can offer Hay Nibbles with Dandelion & Rosehip by hand as a small reward. Alternatively, scatter a few pieces around a clean enclosure to encourage searching and foraging.
For example, you can place the nibbles inside a suitable forage toy or cardboard tube. You could also mix a few with your pet’s dried leaves and forage.
Because the recipe includes rosehip, offer the nibbles sparingly. They provide a complementary treat rather than a complete rabbit or guinea pig food.
Feeding Guidance
Give these nibbles in small amounts alongside your pet’s normal balanced diet. Also, introduce any new treat gradually.
Although the recipe contains hay, the nibbles cannot replace long-stem feeding hay. Therefore, rabbits and guinea pigs should always have unlimited fresh hay and clean drinking water.

However, these natural differences do not mean that we have altered the recipe. Every batch still contains the same three simple ingredients.
