Premium Meadow Hay
Description
3kg Devon Meadow Hay Mini Bale – Green, Fragrant & Full of Tasty Grasses
Our 3kg Devon Meadow Hay Mini Bales contain a tasty mix of grasses grown in Devon. The crop is made into hay using traditional methods. Each bale includes a natural blend of soft leaves, firm stems and seed heads. As a result, rabbits and guinea pigs get plenty of different tastes and textures to explore.
A Natural Mix of Meadow Grasses
Unlike single-grass hay, Meadow Hay brings several types of grass together in one bale. For example, the crop may include cocksfoot, ryegrass, Yorkshire fog and oat grass. In addition, you may spot an occasional dried dandelion among the grasses.
Because this is a natural meadow crop, the exact mixture will vary between bales. Therefore, every grass listed may not appear in every bale. However, these natural changes give each harvest its own colour, scent and texture.
Traditionally Made and Sun-Dried in Devon
Our Meadow Hay is made using a traditional approach to haymaking. When the crop is ready, it is cut and left to dry naturally in the Devon sunshine. The hay is then turned so it can dry evenly before being baled.
As a result, the finished hay has a green colour and a sweet, fresh aroma. However, the exact shade and texture may change slightly with each harvest. These small differences are normal and reflect the natural growing season.
Varied Hay for Natural Foraging
The mix of leafy grass, stems and seed heads gives pets plenty to sort through. Therefore, it encourages natural grazing and can help keep keen hay eaters interested. The different grasses also make it a tasty choice for everyday feeding.
Regular chewing supports natural tooth wear. Meanwhile, the fibre helps keep the digestive system moving normally. Hay should form the main part of a rabbit’s or guinea pig’s daily diet.
For more information, read UK Pet Food’s guide to the importance of hay for small herbivores.
A Plastic-Free 3kg Mini Bale
Each 3kg Mini Bale is held securely with recyclable, plastic-free cardboard strapping. We then place the bale inside a sturdy cardboard box without plastic packaging. Therefore, it stays neat and is easy to handle and store.
You can feed the hay straight from the box or move it into your own storage container. In addition, the compressed bale helps reduce the mess often caused by handling loose hay.
Meadow Hay can be fed alone or mixed with Timothy Hay or Orchard Hay for extra variety. Always provide unlimited fresh hay and clean drinking water. If this hay is new to your pet, introduce it slowly alongside the hay they already eat.

Emma Barker –
Really pleased with the box of meadow hay I received, although it isn’t as soft as other meadow hay I’ve had, the quality is far superior. It’s a great feeding hay and has long fibrous strands like the timothy hay.
Definitely recommend!

Beautiful fresh hay which smells like chamomile. I have three fussy rabbits that all love this hay which is dust free. Delivered free in an environmentally friendly cardboard box, so no sweaty hay and awful plastic. This hay is a win win and my rabbits and I recommend this.

Very nice product. I have actually purchased from Etsy but from now on I have decided to buy from peoples actual websites to bypass the middle man.
