Burgess Excel Hedgerow Hearts are heart-shaped baked treats made with grass, dried dandelion and dried nettle. They provide rabbits and guinea pigs with a combination of familiar grains, peas and hedgerow plants.
The recipe contains no added sugar, artificial colours or artificial flavours. However, these hearts remain a complementary treat and should be offered sparingly.
Dandelion and Nettle in Burgess Excel Hedgerow Hearts
Each heart contains dried nettle and dried dandelion. Both ingredients make up 2% of the complete recipe.
Grass meal forms a further 14%, while dried peas add another plant-based ingredient. Wholegrain wheat and wholegrain oats provide the base of these baked treats.
