Milled Timothy Hay – 100% Pure Hay with Nothing Added
Our Milled Timothy Hay contains nothing but our dried Devon Timothy Hay. We put the hay through our mill to create the raw material that we use to produce our pure Timothy Hay Pellets. Therefore, it contains no fillers, binders, sweeteners or other added ingredients.
The finely milled consistency also makes it a useful base ingredient for creating homemade treats for rabbits and guinea pigs.
From Our Timothy Hay to Milled Hay
We start with the same Timothy Hay that we prepare for our other hay products. First, we select the dried hay for milling. Next, our mill cuts the hay into much smaller particles and fibres.
This process creates a convenient loose material that you can measure, mix and shape more easily than long strands of hay. We also use this milled hay as the starting ingredient for our 100% pure Timothy Hay Pellets.

A Natural Base for Homemade Pet Treats
Milled Timothy Hay provides a simple hay base for your own rabbit or guinea pig treat recipes. For example, you can combine it with a small amount of suitable fruit, vegetables or dried botanicals before shaping and drying your treats.
Because the product contains only Timothy Hay, you control every other ingredient that goes into your recipe. Therefore, you can create treats that suit your pet’s preferences while avoiding unnecessary fillers and artificial ingredients.
Always check that every ingredient is safe for your particular type of pet. In addition, remember that fruit and some root vegetables contain natural sugars. Use them sparingly and offer finished homemade treats in small amounts alongside your pet’s normal diet.

Milled Hay Does Not Replace Long-Stem Hay
Although Milled Timothy Hay contains the same natural grass ingredient, milling changes its physical form. The smaller particles do not provide the same extended chewing and foraging experience as long strands of hay.
Therefore, always provide rabbits and guinea pigs with unlimited fresh feeding hay. Our Devon Timothy Hay supplies the long, fibrous strands that encourage natural grazing throughout the day.

A Completely Natural Product
Because hay is a natural and seasonal crop, the colour, aroma and texture of the milled material may vary slightly between batches. You may also notice small visible fibres rather than a completely uniform powder.
However, these natural differences do not mean that we have changed the ingredients. Each pack still contains 100% dried Timothy Hay.
Store the product in a cool, dry place. Also, keep the pack securely closed to protect it from moisture.
