Science Selective 4+ Rabbit Food is a balanced daily food formulated for mature rabbits aged four years and over. The 1.5kg bag contains single-component extruded nuggets with 22% crude fibre, reduced protein and a lower energy content to suit the changing nutritional needs of older rabbits.

Every nugget contains the same carefully balanced recipe. Therefore, rabbits cannot simply pick out their favourite ingredients and leave the rest behind. The food also contains Timothy hay, dried thyme, prebiotics, linseed, vitamins and minerals, with no added sugar.

Tailored Nutrition for Rabbits Aged Four Years and Over

As rabbits become less active, their nutritional requirements may change. Science Selective 4+ Rabbit Food contains 12% crude protein and has a lower energy content to help mature rabbits maintain a healthy body condition when fed in the correct quantity.

The recipe includes natural antioxidants and added vitamin C to support vitality. Dried thyme and Timothy hay also add natural flavour to help make the nuggets appealing to older rabbits.

Feeding and Changing Foods

The manufacturer’s guide states that an average adult rabbit weighing 2.5kg requires approximately 60–70g each day. Individual needs vary according to size, activity, body condition and health, so monitor your rabbit and seek veterinary advice when necessary.

When changing foods, introduce the new nuggets gradually alongside your rabbit’s existing food. Slowly increase the new food while reducing the old food to help avoid digestive upset. Store the bag in a cool, dry place.
